In yoga asana all the movements are very slow, steady, smooth, rhythmic, like a poetry. Where as in exercises all the movements are fast that increases your heart rate. In Yogic practice your heart rate does not go that high.

its just the difference b/w the words seeing and watching, yoga you have to do with completely awareness within whereas the other mind concentration need not to be merged...
