As our menstrual system is controled by a gland called hypothalamus, located in our brain, so all the asana which increase blood circulation towards head or our brain will stimulate our brain to function properly. Proper blood circulation towards pelvic area also will help in menstrual discomfort. Opening prlvic asana will help in that n will help to relax pelvec area.
