Hi, data science is vast; to get into this department, I have mentioned few ways to help.

1. I think you have very little knowledge of what data science is. You need to know to program surely, cannot skip or escape Python, Javascript. 
2. You have to pick one domain. For example-Finance, sector, Health sector, Marketing Sector, E-commerce, etc. Pick one path and start learning. According to it, you can make your life easy and can crack interviews.
3. Data visualisation is the easy and the best way to understand the insights of the data. It is how someone who does not know can also enter into this field by learning TABLEAU, POWER BI, and other data visualisation tools. Also, Excel is essential.
4. SQL -Structured Query Language (SQL) is the standard and most widely used programming language for relational databases used to manage and organise data.
5. It would help if you brushed up on your Mathematics, calculus, linear algebra, and statistics, but no need to become a mathematician. Basic knowledge is enough. 

The list will go on, but to start into the data science field, the above mentioned is very important. Also, you can Google to check few more roles like Data scientist, Data analyst, Data engineer, Business intelligence.

Technical -Data science and Python, R(Analytics, Visualization, Statistics, Web Scrapping, Machine learning algorithms).You don't need to know each and everything, but you need to start with one kind above mentioned.

Hi Giridhar, you don't need to know each and everything, but you need to start somewhere, so pick any domain, whether it can be technical or non-technical, one thing is essential, experience.
