Hi Priyanka - Tableau is a data visualization tool used primarily in Data Science/Analytics and Business Intelligence. It is one of the most powerful and easiest tool for exploring and understand your data. It can be connected to almost all possible data formats (DBs, Excel, CSV, Cloud, AWS etc.) and you can create beautiful visula understanding of the data in few clicks.
Informatica is a ETL/Data Intergration tool. Which is used for extrating data from a variety of source systems and transform it in required format, integrate and load them in a data warehouse or operational data store which can further be used for reporting, OLAP or for further statistical analysis.
So these 2 are primarily created for different purposes and are really good in their respective areas. If you are a BI person then learning both is highly recommended. If you are a person who deals with data of any kind and would like to visualizile/analyse it then Tableau is highly recommended.
