I would not even teach kids, as it does not make much sense unless they live in Germany. Mostly they are forced by their parents and have zero interest in it. I never saw any good material for kids, thus i just would use the usual books and teach them more individual. I used to teach 2 kids 9 and 12, they almost collapsed during my classes as they had to study so many other languages, Bengali, Hindi, English and then also German, why to torture kids like that? Parents should stop to overburden them. If they later are old and enough to make their own decisions, they can learn German very fast and with fun. To teach kids of that age group, I initially use a "German Picture Dictionary" and subsequently, the regular textbook prescribed by the school.
